TERMS & CONDITIONS
1- The promoter is: Just Cycle Ltd on behalf of the Border Bikes Cycling Hub Partnership project (company no. SC046036)] whose registered office is at 5 Tweedbank Craft Centre, Galashiels, TD1 3RU.
2- The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom.
3- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5- Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are as follows:
Email your entry under the heading CYCLING BORDERS PHOTO COMPETION to firstname.lastname@example.org
– Photos must be high resolution photographs, 5mb and/or 1920×1080 pixels. Landscape with no filters
6- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
7- Closing date for entry will be Friday 21st May 2021 at 5pm. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
8- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
9- The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
- Your photo should tell the story of Cycling in the Borders
- Email your photo, along with your name, email address/telephone number and a brief description stating where your photo was taken.
If your photograph features any person or people, they should be aware that they are being photographed and permission should be obtained from all involved (or their parent’s/guardian’s permission if under 16) for their photograph to be submitted in the competition. If it is clear that the people are not aware of their picture being taken or are embarrassed in any way by any entry we receive, Just Cycle reserves the right to disqualify the entry.
The top 10 photos may be displayed on Social Media. The winning photo will be displayed on the main page of the Border Bikes Virtual Hub.
Copyright and reproduction
You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all images entered. You will retain copyright of your entries at all times and always be credited alongside your picture.

By entering your images into the competition, you grant permission to Just Cycle/Border Bikes Partners exclusive license to reproduce the images for the following purposes
Printing of winning and highly commended photographs in local media. We ask that the press credit photographers where the images are used but cannot be held responsible for errors and omissions.
Inclusion of winning and highly commended photographs on the Border Bikes Cycling Hub and the Just Cycle Facebook Page and Website
Border Bike partners related social media accounts. Photographers will be credited alongside their work.
The information you provide will be collected and stored by Just Cycle Ltd on behalf of the Border Bikes Partners and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will only use your information for the purposes of administration of the Competition (including publishing your name and region if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. We will not pass your details on to any third party
Indemnity and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Just Cycle Ltd & Border Bikes (BB) partners, excludes its liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by you, whether directly or indirectly and howsoever caused, in connection with the Competition and use of any prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude Just Cycle/BB Partners liability for death or personal injury arising from Just Cycle/BB partners own negligence or any other liability that cannot, as a matter of law, be excluded.
You agree to indemnify Just Cycle and BB Partners and keep Just Cycle/BB Partners indemnified against any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by Just Cycle and BB Partners as a result of your entry in the Competition, including (but not limited to) any claim of infringement of intellectual property rights made by any third party.
You agree that if you are the winner, you will take part in and cooperate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name and photograph in such publicity.
Just Cycle and BB Partners reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time through the Just Cycle website, Border bikes hub or Just Cycles Social media without giving notice.
If you would like to remove your entry from the competition then you can do so by emailing email@example.com under the heading Remove Competition Photo.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with Law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
10- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
11- The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
12- The prize is as follows:
£50 Just Cycle Sales or Service Voucher to be spent instore on Bicycle Sales, Parts or Service and the winning photo to be displayed on the Border Bikes Cycling Hub.
The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
13- Winners will be chosen:
The Children and Teachers of the Tweedbank Primary School
14- The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Facebook within 14 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 10 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
15- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
16- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
18- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland
19- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
20- The winner’s name will be available 14 days after closing date by emailing the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
21- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
