Donations
Just Cycle welcome donations of unwanted bicycles, regardless of condition.
"The practice of charity will bind us...will bind all men in one great brotherhood."-Conrad Hilton
Charity comes from the Latin noun ‘caritas’ derived from the adjective ‘Carus’ meaning ‘dear’ but originally meaning ‘Love of your fellow human beings’ – we like that!
At Just Cycle we endeavour to repair as many donated bikes as possible, however some bicycles are beyond repair. In which case, we strip the bicycle, reusing the parts. We also sell recycled parts that we have salvaged.
Bicycles that are beyond restoration, are donated to other local projects to use for sculpture, artwork, gardening, assault courses, and Bikes for Africa. Over 1000 bicycles a year are donated to Bikes to Africa by Just Cycle.
We accept donations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between the hours of 10am and 5pm.
You can leave your donation in the bike stand at the front of the building, drop it with us when we are open, alternatively you can use the form below to tell us that you are dropping off your donation at one of the SBC Community Reuse Centres in your local area and we will arrange collection.
Thank you for your continued support, our project would not exist without your kind donations.
